HISTORY

The objective of Images is to capture a blend of all cultures and fashion through the training and showcase of runway and print styles of modeling in addition to fashion education, community service, mental and physical health awareness and education, team/family building and bonding, as well as professional development and the rules of etiquette.

Images Modeling Troupe, Inc. (IMT) was founded in the Fall of 1985 on the campus of Florida State University with the purpose of establishing an inter-membership consisting of 12 individuals that had a love for fashion and modeling.  Since then, hundreds of young men and women have held membership with IMT and many of them have left with a better understanding and belief of themselves and their capabilities.

Images has always produced shows that were developed around concepts and themes. In its early stages, those concepts and themes were conveyed through a perceived style of modeling that was effective for the purpose of the organization at that time. While adhering to the purpose of performing at social functions such as Greek balls, talent shows, extravaganzas, and their fall and spring fashion shows, images has garnered a loyal audience.

In the Fall of 1988, images expanded and established a charter at Florida A&M University in an attempt to increase its membership and expand its audience with an effective style of modeling. Still retaining a "show based on concept" style of modeling, 1988 brought in a format of modeling that legitimized the entire modeling experience gained while in images.

New York and Parisian runway style modeling became the format. The new format allowed Images to change while creating a new sense of professionalism and thoroughness that in turn gave way to the realization in which images has displayed a unique show style and sense of confidence, and this is only the beginning....
